grants and the generosity of individuals, local businesses and the community at large. If you would like
to make a donation, please make checks payable to the Ali Forney Center and mail them to the following

Holiday Gift Help
Each year the Ali Forney Center provides holiday gifts for the youth in our housing programs
as well as the youth receiving services at our Day Center. For many of these youth this will
be the only gift they receive for the holidays and possibly the only gift they have received
in years. Our goal is to brighten the holidays of these wonderful youth during what is typically
a very depressing time in their lives. Please consider helping us in this endeavor.
For each client that receives services at our Day Center we give small gift bags full of candy,
socks, t-shirts, gift certificates, hats, gloves, and scarves. Many of these youth are being housed
at other sites and will receive gifts at those programs as well.
For the 50+ clients that we house in our Emergency and Transitional Living programs the gift we give
is most likely the only gift they will receive during the holiday season. In the past we have
purchased high quality back packs and stuffed them with items like:
- Gift Certificates (McDonalds, Starbucks, GAP, Old Navy, and Virgin Records)
- Hats, gloves, scarves, and heavy socks.
- School Supplies (notebooks, pens and pencils, DayPlanners, markers, etc)
- Toys (Board games, playing cards, balls, novelties, etc)
- T-shirts
- AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... A fun gift that is gift-wrapped. In the past we have given
CD Walkmans, GameBoys, and most recently MP3 Players.
If you would like to assist AFC in providing a happy holiday for our youth, here are some options
for you to choose from:
- A donation of $30 would cover the cost of a gift for a client at the Day Center.
Look for the orange button at the top left of this page for our online donation form. Fill out the form
and include "Holiday Gift" in the box asking for REASON FOR DONATION.
- A donation of $100 would cover the cost of a gift for a client in our Housing Program.

- You could also donate individual items to go into the gift bags/back packs if you would prefer:
- Gift Certificates in denominations of $10 each.
- New socks (white tube socks or heavy wool socks)
- Coordinating hat, scarf and glove sets.
- Notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, etc
- Gift wrapping supplies
- Candy
